19/04/2007 - HSE to Evaluate Section 4 Control of Asbestos Regulations

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) have commenced a major review of the impact of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) section 4, the duty to manage asbestos in non domestic premises.

Section 4 the duty to manage asbestos in non domestic premises came into effect on 21st May 2004. HSE support for section 4 was principally on the research that it would help to save some 4700 lives from asbestos related death.
